This is concerned about conception of absolute precedents and relative precedents. The usually spelling of precedents is A1, that is relative precedents. If the formula of the cell included relative precedent then this cell's relative precedents would be changed by dragging. When the position of the cell changed because cut and paste to other place or other cell was deleted or inserted the formula would trace to newest cell address. This is relative precedents .
Absolute precedent is that the precedents never change even any conditions. The spelling of absolute precedent is attach "$" before the number of the column or row. Absolute precedents could fix on one of the column and cow, the part without "$" will be changed by dragging just like relative precedent. As: $A$1. $A1. A$1.
Method one: Press F2 to modify the content of the cell, select the precedents and press F4, The position of the "$" would changed each pressing.
Method one:
Instance : Select cell C3, click "Freeze Panes" in the menu "Window" of "View" . As the follow picture, choose the first option "Freeze Panes" in the drawing list. Then the column A and B and row 1 and 2 was fixed when scrolling down and righ.
If you want to cancel the fixed cells ,you can choose the first option "Unfreeze Panes" in the drawing list. The option old "Freeze Panes" is changed to "Unfreeze Panes" after freezed panes.
If you just want to fix first row or column you can choose quickly the options in the drawing list need not to select any cell first.
The first row is heading in the sheet, want to print the first row in each pages, how to set up?

Click "Print Titles" in the "Page Setup" of the menu "Page Layout", as the right picture:
Select the heading-rows you want to print in the "Rows to repeat at top" in the dialog-box popuped. Click "OK", done. as the follow picture:
